Dine for Dough at Rocky's Pizza will be Wednesday, April 15th
Project Graduation is a nationwide effort to provide graduating seniors with a fun, safe place to celebrate their last night together as high school students. Project Graduation started in Maine and has spread to communities around the country. All seniors who qualify to ‘walk’ in the graduation ceremony may attend. This party is planned, organized and paid for by generous contributions from parents and the Waunakee community. In 2007, approximately 130 seniors participated in the first Waunakee High School Project Graduation and by 2019 over 230 graduates attended the event. Typically, well over 80% of the senior class participates in the celebration. Project Graduation has the support of the school staff and administration.
Graduates participate in a night of fun events, entertainment, music, games, food, and prizes - LOTS OF PRIZES. Parents receive the peace of mind knowing their children are celebrating in a safe environment. Project Graduation has become an annual tradition, which students eagerly anticipate and remember the rest of their lives. The celebration begins at approximately 10:00 pm on the night of graduation at the high school. Families will have time following the graduation ceremony to take pictures and for the graduate to change clothes, if desired. Many areas of the high school are open for a variety of activities. Prize drawings take place about 4:30 am with the celebration ending at 5:00 am.
Fundraising to provide food, activities, and prizes plays a major role in making this event a success, so please contribute generously when approached! Donations to Project Graduation cover the many expenses such as food, entertainment, prizes & gifts. All remaining funds roll over from one year to the next. Please contribute to keep Project Graduation active in our community. Thank You for your support!
